Crashing at Server Selection

I was looking at changing some character models around like nexus with pojustice and stuff , well i changed all of that back and now when i try to run everquest i type in acct/pass and then it hits server selection and eqgame crashes . is there anything i can do to fix this?

Im having the exact same issue i changed one spell duration field in the spell database now even though i changed it back my eq client always crashes at the server selection .... but it only occurs if im running my server if im not it goes through just fine....:/

I want to update that, now it will let me access the list of servers, and even log on some of them, but when click mine, world.exe crashes... what should i do ?

ok so it turns our i fuxd some files up so i had to patch to eqlive then backpatch to normal titanium all better now ty

hey explain this to me please. This may be my issue. here is what is happening to me.

Using Minilogin (cant get public to work at all)

I can run the world local (server and client on the same box) and create a player and get in and play

If I have a client on another box, (and have added a login in my eq SQL database name, password, 250 gm status)I have the set up so the client can see the server in the server list when logging in, and when they connect it hangs...and one the server side it shows a new connection from IP

the cleint will time out and boot back to the login screen, and the server will show an error in the log ( something about unknow OP code and unknown packet...I have it written down at home)

So I cannot not get any of my frineds connected to this server :-[

7.0 using cavedudes 3.5 installer
Titanuim client unpatched.

I'm crashing too soon as I login and get a list of servers. 2 seconds later it crashes, and this is just after a fresh Titanium install.

I have been tinkering with my own emulated server and have gotten it to work semicorrectly a few times, other then that ive been trying to fix it most of the time. Now i am trying to get zones to pop and aas working, etc. I had it working fine but i did something (cant remember what i did) but when ever i have my server running and try to connect to the server select screen, eqgame.exe crashes. Whenever i have my server turned off and try to connect to the server, it works fine (except i cant get on my own server). I have it set as a public server, I am on a home network and running the server on one computer and playing eq on another (fresh titanium installs on both, Server Pack 3.5 installed). I think im trying to suggest that the problems lies in ill configured servers, maybe if the server and client computers are on the same network, or that a bad server causes everyone at server select to crash.

I'm having the same issue.

Last night it worked fine, but this morning I couldnt connect to the server. (game crashes at server select screen)

So my downtime was probably from 11:30 pm to 9:00 am

I'm running on Titanium.

Has there been any changes to any of the files for the login server between those times? Or maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree.

Ok I played around with a login process.. this seems to work:

1. Login using quickjoin server button.

2. Everquest will stop.. kill it using alt-ctrl-del (the task manager)

3. Re-run EQ and Login using the server select screen.

4. Wait until your list of expansions starts to scroll (to show you what expansions you have) before picking your server, then join.

5. Say yay and play a whole lot :)

Also, if you're boxing multiple characters you need to log on to a character before it will work for additional boxes.

Annen, sometimes that works for me. Most times though, it just crashes. Emu worked fine for me up until a few days ago.

Same problem, I seem to only be able to connect by waiting for it to crash then closing it from task manager, then quick connecting, which sucks cause I want to try different servers :/

Ok yes i am kind of new to this so i might be missing some thing. I get a eqgame.exe messege when i get the the Server Select part. I am useing the Titanium one. I did not patch. Just when i get to Server Select it crashes help plz

Here's what worked for me;
Delete "eqlsPlayerData.ini" and you login fine. Problem is, it makes a new eqlsPlayerData.ini file and you have to delete again.

just tryed deleteing that, doesnt help at all. now every time i log in it shows me new's and i crash at that now, dont even make it to server selection.

Do you have a router?
Here's another problem I had: On my Router's "port triggering" tables, I had a bunch of ports I inserted there , I cleared all the data from that table and problem soved. Wasn't needed anyways as I can still connect to games out side my network. I have a Lynksys router.
This was also causing the log in to freeze up and crash.

So any one find out why this is happing? I dont even get to pick the server i want 90% of the time. When i do get to pick it plays the music then crashes. I am useing the Titanium one and i know i can only log in to ones that are 7.0 but still dont work. Plz help i love this site and all your hard work put in to it.

Well I just installed the titanium edition and setup the files for playing and it crashes at server selection even when i tried what others have sugested...any tips for how to fix this
