I went to the News section and found nothing about getting EQEMU to run with up-to-date Sony patches. Can you link it? or perhaps be more specific as to its location.

There's no way (right now at least) to get EQEMu to work with the latest EQ update. You just have to wait until the devs come out with a newer version.

I did find something under Win32 Support on correcting your database, and that might be what he was referring to.

Maybe I should ask this....what exactly is the error or what happens that lets you know that you are having problems because of the SOE patches? I get different errors or responses when attempting to log into different servers.

For WintersRoar I get a 1017 error

For all others that aren't locked or at limit, I get booted back to server select.

I can create characters, but not log in to the servers.

The files link doesnt seem to be posting (it keeps comming up with that too lazy to search and doesnt post the entire link) so you will have to get it from one of those links.

Just unzip those files into your EQemu folder. It may be a good idea to back up the files first just in case, but it worked fine for me. I am now able to play on the 5.7 servers, i havnt tried any of the others yet. Hope that helps.

By the way those files do not update EQemu to be combatible with the newest live version. But they did allow me to play and connect to the servers with the most recent combatible version. So it down graded the files. Does that make sense?

You have the up-dates for everquest, right!

some servers aren't updated to patch dates some are..

whichever server you chose might be up-dated

If you have the most recent updates, there is only 1 server i know that will be combatible with the 5-5 patch, thats scorious2k's. Not sure about the 5-12 patch havnt heard anything about that yet. it may not have changed enough to make it incombatible so you should stilll try.

As for that sorry i dont know, i dont use winzip very often. maybe someone else will know.
