My thoughts exactly. Aftering seeing what Absolute BS SOE pulled on there loyal $14 bucks a month customers I will never buy or play anythign related to Sony again.

WoW is gonna be 14 bux per month to lol

nothings going back to 9$ per month, exept maybe eq when it dies

plus, calling them "soe" is stupid, the eq team.. the eqlive team.. the eq2 team.. swg team.. sigil.. you cant just say 'soe' did this, fuck this game

I still think EQ2 will be a good game. Graphics aren't everything, though are a large part. The Gameplay is much more important, though with crap graphics, the gameplay sucks.
IMO, the graphics in EQ2 don't look too anime, and it should turn out to be a good game.

Who will be buying EQ2? You'll have to tell all us non-buyers what it's like one day. ;)

well if you caught alot of the secret videos from that one ftp that was up, not like ign ones, you can already tell what its gonna be like. Immersive. the voice overs really do bring it to the next level.. its not just voice over quests, its every spoken npc word said in the game is voice overed, you hear conversations and children being taught by professers and talking in bars and old guys yelling at ducks, dogs chasing cats and barking meowing, theres this one npc thats a drunkard but he thinks hes a guard and struts around like he owns the place, theres tons of npcs just around for flavor

by the way, the eq2 char create disk has been released, you can catch it with bit torrent or kazaa even maybe.. its 500 megs woot ill have it in the morning =) sweet jesus im about to see actuall in-game gfx... omfg... this will let me know if i need to upgrade for beta hehe

I agree. What will you do when you experience the EQ2 magic for the first time (if there is any) and sony kills it with 23124.5 expansions?

Actually I have to disagree... SWG is probably the only game that SOE has yet to kill. I just started playing recently and its actually got some magic to it. Sure its laggy as hell and the terrain engine sucks, but that's not what matters to me :)

That has nothign to do with my post, I am simply stateing that they treat there customers like dirt when your paying for there service. IT don't matter if its $5, $10, or $20 when your paying for service you shouldn't have to play a bugged game and constantly get screwed over when they do something wrong. I can't count how many times people have spent hours in a raid then gotten screwed cause the sever went down, or they went LD at a bad time, etc. I know I wasted about 6 hours of my life on 2 MB raids, both time I was screwed out of my flag cause of bugs. Of course the GM's just talk trash to you and don't care.

I won't even get started on there Customer Support.

Well that explains your love for it. SWG is fun at first. i loved it. then in 1 month i was maxed out and had a few million credits and there was nothing else too do. Any game u can max out in a month = lame. And im not talking, play every day for 12 hours a day. I played maybe 4 hours a day and not every day.

I must admit, I want to see what EQ 2 will look like in the end and the story line. However, when it comes to the characters looks, I do love Lineage II character looks better. Specialy the elfs. Not sure about WoW cause I haven't seen anything from it yet. Not so interested in it as well as Final Fantasy Online. I love it but not enough to go online and play it.

I guess when it comes down what were the best two online RPG games were I must say, Ultima Online & Everquest. If anything I might just play EQ and Ultima on a server and have fun with it instead of paying so much money to play a game with a bad story line or bad characters design.

One thing I am looking foward to EQ2 is the voices, animations, and new 3D Engine. Hopefully the story line, and final release on the character graphics will make this game a winner again.
