this may seem odd, but i downloaded the new patch also, and it wouldnt let me in, sooo what i did i had the old EQ ruins of kunark, then repatched the new server patch, after that i copied all of the my orginal files and moved it to a new file(where the ruins of kunark is) which it replaced some of the kunark files. after that i tried to log back on to EQemu server and it worked. yeh i know it seems wierd, but maybe it was were it replaced some files. but worth a try

Just a thought. :D

This has been brought up before... The other emulator and this emulator have no desire to combine forces at the moment.

The "other" emulator is NOT open source ( or wasnt last time i checked ) and at that point was written in a diferent programing language.

I rember a discussion about this when I first came here, it didnt happen because the other emulator's Devs didnt want an open source project and ours dont want a closed source project.

Yeah, the man's insane. Back when they were actively updating I did tech. support and crap over there >_> Still, it's an impressive achievement for a single person.

I'm new Eqemu user ( well haven't used it yet ) =P
Unfortunatly i had to patch since I have no other options.

Does his method look plausible to you eqemu veterans?
I'm asking because I'd try it out but I'll have to delete some files I'd would like to keep.
