Raid Addicts has been 64 bit for quite some time thanks to the efforts of Ndnet, Gaeorn and probably others who I have forgotten to mention but so far things are working great for the most part..

Perhaps a dumb question, but did you insert the passwords as their sha hash? Plaintext won't work.
|
I have entered the passwords via copy paste hash from the output when client tries to connect, I have tried adding via sql import, yes I tried plain text too lol (I knew it was a long shot and likely wouldn't work).
I setup the server to connect useing eqemu's login servers which throws a hash in the database (I connect and run just fine this way). I just can't mimic the setup in a no internet environment. |
I run vista 32bit on one machine with various issues that a quick search on google provided fixes for and absolutly no problems with my other computer on vista 64bit. Its hit or miss, at times I run into strange issues such as eqw wont work and if I try to load 2 clients on one machine with the eqgame.exe it crashes. I use a modified patcher from another emu pointed at the directory of the game server I want to play on and it works fine.
Windows is a pain since your best friend could have the exact same system and never have a problem and your pist off that your nice machine can not run the game. If you just bought a machine and have vista with cd key and xp with cd key I see no reason why not to just install both and then you can choose which to boot into. |
Its running for me, I'm running both my computers in win 7 64 bit..no problems at all.

EverQuest client graphic issues seem to be more related to your install of DirectX and your video card drives. Some people play flawlessly without ever changing a single setting in Vista64/7-64 while others have horrifying problems with Windows XP.
At one point, Vista shipped with DX10 and without DX9 so it had to be installed first, which most games do on their own. However, EverQuest uses a newer DX9 rollout which most packaged games do not include. If you're having trouble, it's at least worth a try to go grab a DX9 update from Microsoft's website. |
