Sometimes you need to follow the spirit of the guide and not the exact letter. There's plenty of info for someone trying to get things going if they aren't afraid to do a little reading in the guide thread and then ask informed questions if they need to.

Cant count the number of hours I've spent searching these boards looking for things. Majority of the time I can and do find my answer that way.
Another thing is I've had a slightly modified, updated version of Huppy's guide for some time and it really was more of a common sense update and a collection of the most common issues people had and the required fix.
Since the recent change made by akkadius to the svn I've actually not had a single issue with compiling... then again we all know how much winblows sucks. I've had people with the exact same to the T setup as me run into issues that I've never seen. Damn windows, how I hate you. |
