a server -- they just want a game place. A handful don't mind not even being on the Internet, they just want to run their own private server with no one else on it.

The middle group is the one that is harder to deal with because they want their own accounts and to have people access their servers through the Internet. The configuration for that is a login server, a world server, and a set of zone servers.

Although I am interested in the source concerning eqemu, I am not at all interested in the login server source and would be more than happy to pull a binary. GPL doesn't require that you distribute the source, just to make the source available. I also would like a choice between Linux and Windows binary. If someone needs a HP or Sun flavor Unix, then someone will have to volunteer to deal with the Unix port.

I would answer questions dealing with the the loginserver setup and operation, but not at all with the compiling.

Personally I would jump at the chance of a fully functional login server binary and I'd be happy to answer questions and help people get it running. I guess I'm just cranky, sorry for snapping at you Yoda.

I would like to start my own fully functional login / world / zone server with FREE accounts with Gms / Guides and events. I have a 1.5Mbit T1 line waiting for use. All I need is a Windows compiled server binary and what ever else needed (EQEMu 2.4) etc. If someone here would mind working this out with me and helping I would appreciate it. Thanks

Its a simple change =) One line i belive... but more point of I dont think its acutally a bug, but that no one can configure it WITH that code in (I haven't figured it out yet but i think gotfrags uses it that way)

is gotfrags a separate entity? I thought you guys (the developers) administor that login server.

I don't have anything but a linux binary.. So people on Winblowze couldn't use it anyhow.. *shrug* i'll consider uploading the binary someplace.. It would be COMPLETELY unsupported. Don't ask me how to do anything. You'd be on your own.

Could you somehow convert what you did to it to windows? Sadly I can't run anything linux. Nor do I know anyone with a linux box.
