i can't win...i uninstalled EQ....then reinstalled it when i saw this post. I downloaded the EQfix but now when i patch like you said to do khuong, the new EQlive patch is like 100 and something megs big which is a pain to download on a 56k. What makes it even more frustrating is that I left it downloading last night, woke up this morning and it had stopped half way but EQ doesnt have a resume download you hafta do it all AGAIN!!

bigfootbob, do I know you? Don't you run the green man site? Maybe my bad *shrug* anyways, you shouldn't have uninstalled eq if you have 56k, because you have to patch everything after kunark, luclin patches, old eq patches, everything, it takes a long time even on cable

Can someone pleaaase tell me what to do?

I want to play EQEmu, so I tried to go to mIRC, but when i put /join #eqemu, no one was there, and nothing appeared, so what do i need to do?

first type in:
/server irc.eqemu.net

Then when it connects
/join #eqemu

or /list
to make sure your on the right network.

I've been having similar problems with the IRC channel..

I'm not sure if I'm having a DNS problem, however if I connect to irc.eqemu.net, I seem to actually be joining:

core.us.quazie.net

There is no #eqemu channel in /list.

If I join the channel there is noone there.

Can you guys give us the IP address you connect to? That might make a difference, assuming the DNS servers have that hostname hijacked.
