Trying to edit items ingame==bad. I think what your referring to is the item edit function that was left over from the days before shared memory. Shared memory is static and should never be changed after a server has started, if it were possible to change it, you would get all kinds of wierd errors.

The November 8th Item Database has a new field: Unknown113. What this means is Item Editor is now updated accordingly :D .

Ok, I figured out this morning that the problem wasn't the editor, but the 11-8 item dump was a bad cookie. Lethal has posted a fixed database (11-10). Please download new version of item editor and also the new item database, sorry for the delay.

unable to connect to database
 

I have tried to use versions 1.3, 1.4, and now 1.5 but some how i am not getting the correct settings for accessing the database. I am using mysql version 3.23. I created a database called eqemu with a user eqemu and password eqemu and the emulator works fine with this database and i am able to play on my network using it but i cant seem to get the item editor to connect to the database. I keep getting the error : unable to connect to Database. Could someone please give me a clue as to what the settings.ini should look like or post one as an example please. This is what my current settings.ini looks like although i have tried many different configurations.

DatabaseName = eqemu
DatabaseUser = eqemu
DatabasePass = eqemu
DatabaseHost = c:\mysql\data
EQDirectory = c:\eq_local

databasehost is supposed to be an ip address of the database server.

I tried changing the DatabaseHost in the settings.ini to the ip of the system hosting mysql but am still having the same error : unable to connect to database. My settings.ini now looks like this although it is still not working.

DatabaseName = eqemu
DatabaseUser = eqemu

DatabaseHost = 192.168.1.3
EQDirectory = C:\EQ_Local

I must still be missing something. I also tried downloading and installing mysql version 4.01 on another system and then sourcing in the last tcs database and still have the same error using a different system so i have to be missing something when configuring the settings.ini. I am running both systems on windows 98SE if that has any effect. I am a computer technician and very computer literate but this project is my 1st time to use mysql.
