Actually talk to a good lawyer about their EULA. If they tried to prosecute anyone based on their EULA they would get laughed out of court. And if they came after me I would come right back after them. The only thing they dare try to hold the EULA up to is banning people. That is the only thing it is useful for.

Ever notice that all the rest of the software you install and use on your computer only presents the EULA once. That's because forcing people to agree to it more then once invalidates it. Now you're agreeing under duress.

Ummm, we'll be banned from EQLive, which few of us play. How would anyone CATCH someone who wasn't, without some warrant to invade personal information. Last I checked, person to person (coorporations are people under law) contracts that are breached aren't exactly worth a judge allowing privacy-invading tactics. Sony would waste a LOT of money to come after each of us.

i was in an eq live chatroom a few weeks ago and eqemu came up and the GM's already know about it they acted as if they didnt give a shit either.

I'm not tryin to lay blame on anyone here but the everquest eula is for the use of the software as well as the eqlive servers. so eventhough you don't play on the live servers you are still violating it. i play eqemu so i'm not saying you wrong to do so, but those are the facts.

again i repeat sony doesnt CARE about EQEMU...if you admit to them you play it they have the right to ban you and not pay your money back..oh well you can STILL download the files. Wonder why the files for Ykesha were free? Ykesha you only had to pay 17$ (i did anyways) for the key thats it. Sony cannot do a damn thing to you besides ban your account and you deserve to be anyways if you go blabbing to them that you play. But they obvioiusly arent worried about their fanbase leaving because look how many players on live there are to the many (2?) emulators for eq out there....go figure
