Website Redesigned!

If you havent noticed the main page has been redesigned and looks MUCH better than the old page. Thanks goes to sp4mm for the redesigned page.

animepimp 10-24-2004 09:24 AM

Great!!

Scorpx725 10-24-2004 10:01 AM

Yea, I really like the new look.

Daeath 10-24-2004 11:37 AM

I agree - new look is sleek and all, but I'm running at 1024X768 and the "For Players" and "For Servers" tables are overlapping into the news boxes. Anyone has have this problem?

sdabbs65 10-24-2004 11:45 AM

640x480 mode

The adserver overlaps the News and it looks cheesy in 640x480 mode.
other than that ... Looks Great.

mrea 10-24-2004 11:56 AM

Looks great in 1280x1024

DemonicHacksaw 10-24-2004 11:57 AM

WOW!!! BIG change, i LIKE props to who designed, looks WAY better good job guys!!

Raddiux 10-24-2004 12:10 PM

It seems to have some rendering issues with the right most box. Here is what I see....

Scorpx725 10-24-2004 12:21 PM

Everything shows up fine to me.

And what browser are you using, I like the look, beats my IE :x

Edgar1898 10-24-2004 01:49 PM

Raddiux: What is your resolution?

Here is my screenshot using firebird:

Looks great!! But, couln't sony get something over Emu by the use of their graphics? (Orc -Firiona)

Edgar1898 10-24-2004 02:16 PM

possibly, but there are a lot of fan sites that post similiar images and I havent heard of SOE going after one of them.

Windcatcher 10-24-2004 03:57 PM

There's a big difference between going after a fan site (advocates of EQ) and an emu site (pseudo-competitors of EQ). There wouldn't be a PR hit for them in the latter case (in fact, some people would cheer it on, IMHO).

If it was me, I'd lose the graphics.

Vasker88 10-24-2004 04:11 PM

Looks real great! :worship:

darkyth 10-24-2004 05:22 PM

Looks good, I suggest aligning links to the left since it seems the purpose was structure them with -. It would look neater as well.

I know you probably don't care, but:

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...r.net/main.php
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/v...usermedium=all

as well on certain pages there are larger widths then predefined set on the content area. also colored for blue. suggestion to 50% width them with a hue color that you used in the site (some sort of green I guess)

RangerDown 10-25-2004 02:08 AM

That's not an orc!

It's a Noc.

I think...

It seems to be the HTML layers, they *can* be pretty funky on some systems unfortunately... so yea, it might be a good idea to look at that issue.

I'm suprised however that it looks that skewed in your Firefox, but totally normal in mine.

I get the same problem as Raddiux using Firefox 1.0 Preview Release, 1280x1024 resolution.

sp4mm 10-25-2004 06:07 AM

Actually, after examining it I saw and remembered that the layers were all removed, so it's not that. It baffles me really as I'm not a HTML/PHP code guru, however... if you could try this link ( http://194.105.226.1/pah/eqemu/template.html ) and tell me if that gives you the same skewed result that would help troubleshoot it.

It's taken from the kunark box art I think? Not an orc though iirc.

It looks great however, I cannot speak for everyone but I spend 99 percent of my time on the message boards not the main page, heck I have the forums saved in my favorites so the only time I really see the main page is...well now just to see how it looks. Any way to carry some of those nice graphics to the forums?

Great slow down the fourm loading...
a lot of people log in on dial ups still I think you should make a poll on it.

Wow, the new interface of the site is beautiful. Great work on the design. Excellent work on those characters at the top and most bottom area of the template, classic-installation nostalgia just hit me.

But, more over to my point, the site looks fantastic.
