LethalEncounter: Fixed a throw bug.
LethalEncounter: Fixed char select colors not matching your colors in game.

LethalEncounter: Fixed the weapon delay bug. Special thanks to haecz for bring this to our attention.
LethalEncounter: Fixed dup money bug. Special thanks to afrospy also for bring this to our attention.

The source is the source that you can modify and compile the executables and dlls. The win32 is the executables pre-compiled for lazy people like me who don't feel like compiling stuff.

And no, it's not necessary to download these to play. Read the "README" and you'll see that all you have to do is change your eqhost.txt. heh

I updated my 5.1 server. I put in the 0.5.2 update, then sql'd the new items and copied over the new zone.exe, world.exe, and EMuShareMem.dll. Now i'm getting 1017 errors.

There was a patch two nights ago, did this break it or something? I'm using minilogin and I have the eqemu/eqemu status: 200 account in. :/

I have just tried this as well. I tried with tcs's databse and made a new database with nothing in it and tried aswell.

I am getting 1017 errors as well. Useing minilogin to test it as well before updateing public server.

I realize most developers cry about questions on the minilogin, but I was hoping maybe someone with useful info could share.

What's the alternative to minilogin for us 28.8K fellows (and more importantly ones who want to play offline, the main reason I got EQEmu)? :(

Wellll... one of the fixes in 0.5.2 says that slower connection problems (i.e. dialup) should be fixed now.

You can put your server in the public list, but just change the config file so it is default locked. Anyone with high enough access level on your server can get into it even if it is locked.
Works well enough being public but locked, for me.

alright kool thanx for info guys. Still one question. Ive done a couple of searches but couldnt find any info on this. Im wondering how to bring up the Item Database window ingame so i know what the item number is. Ive only played once and ive gotten down the other stuff but wuz just wondering if the command has changed for 5.2 cuz i dont wanna be finding any old information if ya get me. Thanx again :wink:

how do I get my item appearances authentic again? eg. shroud of longevity looks white now...it used to be grey and authentic looking before i updated to 5.2...

Thanks for the info. :) Unfortunately it doesn't solve the more important problem of being able to play offline. (which is how I play 80% of the time) I guess i'm just stuck with 0.5.1 until minilogin gets updated or something else comes along. :(

i got logged into my server last night but didn't make it past the character select screen would perhaps using my old db be the problem?

Yes you need to either use the Upgrade-0.5.2.sql or create a whole new DB.


btw i'v been running 0.5.2 for about 12 hours now and i havnt had a single zone crash.

Let us know how you guys are doing with disconnects.. We did alot of performance enhancements with this release, so hopefully alot of the lag that resulted in people getting disconnected during combat should be corrected.. Also, you should be able to put your pet casting changes back to their orignal format, the pet zone crashes are fixed.

Just let us know...

I ran it for about 4 hours solid lastnight. Although my db was slightly incomplete, people loved the absence of the previously stated 'lag', and horses / drogmors were everywhere!

0.5.2 runs beautifully, thanks to the RC testing. Great job developers, and thanks again for keeping eqemu free.

I just tested it myself, item tints arent working anymore (Raex is no longer blue, its back to regular texture # 22 without and color on it.)

So far 5.2 runs very smoothly and not many LD spotted. Most LD are caused by my testing of various things.
The old quest however is not working with 5.2, they will cause zone to crash upon bootup. Other than that, I am very happy with 5.2.

One bug though, in tradeskil container, after successful combine, the items in the container disappear. But when you put in something which is not the right receipt, after hit combine, it wont combine, but the items in the container will still disappear.

It seems that by somehow correcting the armor dye option, something happened with the preset tints on some items (like the green tint on Rowyl's chestguard of nature, etc... this just appears like a cloth/leather chestguard)

Quests make my zone servers die, renaming the quests directory fixes it, but no quests :( any1 have a workaround?

Hmm, I don't seem to be able to cast spells on NPCs or attack them, all that happens is that I get "I don't know that target type. 0xff". again and again.

And I can't change target without zoning
I'm using tcs db with the 5.2-update.

I don't know if it is. We add some modifications to the server so we compile it and I enable it then.

You will have to install Perl on your server computer and enable it in the server software...

i've been playing on your server the last 1/2 hour or so, and I got disconnected when I hailed the Priest of Disorder(or whatever he is called), and when I tried to cast a spell on a bat... I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong(I'm a EQ n00b, even though I had no trouble setting up the server) but I guess its not normal to get disconnected by doing this.

And Scorpius2k thanks for quick and clear answers...
