Is there a way to go back into emulator servers if you patched to live servers?

0.5.5-DR1 servers.

look for [LIVE] Official EQEmu Test Server (my server)

i am new to the eqmu and have already patched the game went looking for the live server and its not on the list at the moment was wondering if it was down for updates or something

Question, would you be able to go back onto your own server if you were to re-install the game and never update?

No, Emu needs a version between <then> and <now>, doesnt work with clean install.

Also, is it stated as to when the newest version of EqEmu will come ot? The GoD compatible one that is.

No, there is no ETA. It will be soon, log onto Shawns server adn report as many bugs as you can and it will be out quicker.

for some reason, im not able to play on the 5.5 servers even though i patched to live servers. i enter world and then crash..

Do a complete file check using EQPatcher, then once complete do another. Then try again. Could be you have a corrupted file.

Oh, and delete your UIFiles directory then run patcher agian. Could be a corrupt UI file.

there was another patch this morning..not sure if that one broke the 5.5 code or not.

I just started checking out these eqemu servers this morning (after the patch) and when i try to log onto the 5.5 server I can get to the character creation screen and create a character, then when i try to enter the world it just takes me back to server select screen.

Not sure if this is because of the patch or just my computer because i've never tried any emu servers before.

Yeah, I got the same problem too. When i try to enter the world it just crashes and takes me back to server list window.

hmmm.. that's weird, that's EXACTLY what happened to me too! I created a character and tried to "enter the world" and it loads for couple of secs and crash! kicks me right back to server lobby screen.

Mine only does that sometimes, usually just disconnects to the char screen from ingame though

You're probably going to have trouble for a while at least until SOE gets their expansion stable. There was an emergency patch today that resulted in a new spell_us.txt being sent out. One of many things to have to watch out for :shock:

It is doing the same thing to me. Login make a charter and try to lay it and it takes me back into the server list.

same here yet again, its gotta be that new eqlive patch, which is just great cause now its gonna be forever

Yes, it seems the Feb 18th patch broke Emu. Won't be long until a fix, I'm surprised devs got a 5.5 going so soon. Will only have been a minor change on 18th so will be very soon for new live compat. version.

Character Creation
 

Is anyone else not able to make any new characters? when i hit the next butten on the creation screen the screen freezes up and another mouse arrow appears is this not good?

The patch broke it again, it will keep freezing. Wait until Emu catches up.

Ok I am updated to feb 18 and I can make a character but when I try to play the character I make it takes be back to server list sreen and anyone help me with this?

Draclian Signus also supports the latest patch. It's my server, so of course I'm going to recommend it =). It's not the one with -24/7- in the name, that one is an impostor.
