latest guide?
where is the latest guide that ACTUALLY WORKS?
and the patchers that go with it? they say, "don't ask for support here" when there is no support anywhere else. did the mIRC joy ride and received a trojan within 5 minutes of being on it. |

Use Google and search for them using Everquest as one of your search criteria. Patchers are "warez" EQEmulator.net does not support nor do they advocate "warez".

And the hosting instructions do work awesome. |
you are the man... thank you :D
just a few servers will work for me so i'm going to attempt to make a linux server. |
Thanks - this works.. ;)
I tried the s2k patcher first, but the server login screen only lists a few 5.7 servers... Now I can see all the 5.9 servers, but can't seem to get in without a 1017... Do dr1 and dr2 require diff client versions? |

Oddly enough I am able to log into a few 5.8 servers and only a few 5.9's but only to char create, and I have a 5.9dr2 client.
How the heck can I fully log into a 5.8 with a 5.9dr2 client? I am also trying to setup a 5.9dr2 server but can only get to char create. Also one question I have is....Why is there 5.6 and 5.8 eqemu files avail but no 5.7's? |
Well, U can patch & Just use

I have a fully patched to live client, even did complete file check.
|
the world opcodes didnt change from 5.8 to 5.9, so you can login to world using either version, but only the current eqlive client can zone in with 5.9-dr2
|
ah ok, still can't figure out why I can't get into a 5.9dr2 with the right client version tho, can create char but poof after that :-/
|
Sounds like a database problem.
If you're trying to host, source ZONECFG.sql, (comes with 5.9 dr1/2 cvs) also source aa.sql, aa_timers.sql, aa_levels.sql, and altadv_vars.sql (obtainable from the cvs repository on sourceforge) If you're trying to play...its the host's problem. |
Error
Why do I recieve a timeout error every time I attempt to log in using this method ?
|
