I get to a box that says logging into server, please wait, , I let it wait for an hour or so now, but no server select, any ideas ?

Should be 5994 , not 5995 :P

Im also having problems logging in, if i use the origonal login eqhost file i get a invalid username password error. i made my login server account yesterday. I know my login info is right. And if i try to use the new login server code it just hangs there at the logging in screen.

my friend loged in his account on my pc perfectly on the old login, and mine will not login at all.

i think that maybe when i made my login server account that it got corrupted somehow . : / Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, so this is my first time trying to log on. I've followed all the directions . . . and when I try to log on, it says no host found. I am very much confused and getting frustrated. Help?

ok good lord thats alot of posts and no actual help responses. Just delete the spaces in there.

Well i set my EQhost to Host=eqemulator.net:5995 and i also tryed 5994 and nothing works. so i dont know if its still broken . i was just wondering

Ok how does thanking someone help the rest of the people that are still not able to log in. if your gonna thank someone go to general not on support

Timeout Errors are caused by Several things.

1) Patching. If you patched on 12/15/04 you CANNOT play period.

2) Make sure eqhost.txt is READ ONLY.

3) Make sure the L in Login and the S in Server are CAPITALIZED in eqhost.txt. Example:

4) Make sure that the H in Host is CAPITALIZED in eqhost.txt. Example:

5) Make sure there are NO EXTRA SPACES at the BEGINNING or END of lines in eqhost.txt. To do this, click to the right of the end of each line and see where the Blinking line lies. If it is BEYOND the end of the line of text, delete all extra spaces.

Make sure that is all ok.
