Empire 2 server down?
 

Dont see it on the list, was curious when the upgrades would be finished.

Mag brought it down to move it to linux server and some other stuff. He has no ETA when it will all be done though.

ya no eta man. check for forums to be up first id assume...

hmm any estimated time. A week, a few days a month :P

I've just finished moving the website to the new box and the databases (website emu). The site is up again.

Now, I have to:
- Merge the Empire's code to the 0.6.2DR1 sources and compile them on a nux box
- Convert the old 6.0DR2 to the new 6.2DR1 wich is going to take a while :\

The server is still 0.6.0dr2 tough, converting 6.0 to 6.2 DBs is a pain, so i've decided to keep it as it was.

Came up, but there was a problem with agro in Rivervale I believe.
Should be up soon.

Is there a huge difference in the linux box? Like what differences will there be?

Not completely sure, but one difference I noticed when I was playing for the short amount of time it was up that the spell gives you information when casted. Nifty I guess, just a little something I noticed.

well, not much difference I think. At the start, I wanted to set it at 0.6.2dr1 wich would be fine but things gone wrong.

Atm, I have to check why things don't aggro and why the server is not stable at all.

Yes, I'm giving a break on Empire II for good. I hope most of you enjoyed it cause I've spent a lot of time on it, to make it as fun as possible.
That's true I'm selling the file. I've never accepted any donation cause I didn't make empire to earn some money but if people wants to buy me the files, I won't say no.

Finally, I'll get more time to upgrade The Web GM Portal :D

What was the server like?

Empire? hard to explain, great pvp server based on three guilds(Shorties, Evils, Goodies)....A few pretty cool quests(only for epics), lots of killing, lots of fun. Its hard to explain servers. Kill people, /ooc and laugh at them, and rant on forums about it. Thats about it. Great fun, but there were a lot of idiots using a third party tool that ruined fun for a lot of people
