server to select
 

i have went throught all the steps like 12 times now i have everything working to my knolage but my server i cant seam to get one up i can do the log in just fine but i dont get a server to slect have no clue what i am messing up pls post any help u can think of

i am runnin me and no i am not behind a firewall every thing is running fine ex when i get to the server slect screen there is non there has to be something simple something i have maybe over looked

We have NO idea unless you post your config files and emu screens. That is why we ALWAYS are asking people to post this information when asking for help.

ok under world i am not conecting to mysql i know this is my problem but have granted it permission dont know why its not seein it

db.ini not setup right? bad user/pass?

no db.ini is right reads fine error said that bad user but my user name is right

Are you using Minilogin or Publiclogin?

for one, you did that ALL wrong. db.ini's host= should be localhost ALWAYS. (and i hope thats not your real mysql l/p there).

two: Loginserver= needs to be the eqemu.net loginservers OR localhost.

three: get rid of the account/pass in loginserver.ini because readme says LEAVE IT BLANK ALWAYS!.

four: you do NOT have the 0.3.3.1 loginserver.ini because your missing 1/2 the loginconfig.

woot first of all thinks Shawn i am now past that i can now get to see a server to log in on i get all thge way to char select i make one but when i try to log in it puts me back to server select lol =P just my luck .. i thought i had it =P

datarate.txt in your everquest directory
set the value in it to 10.0

mine is 10.0 been that way for a long time

try to create a char in different zones , shar vahl , cabilis, it is possible that some zones will not work actually

ok i was in with one char and i tryed to zone and got booted and i have not been able to get my self back in
