Just Wanted to let yall know what happened to eqemu.net before it does. Lyenu is acting childish. I would suggest not letting her around your projects.

2.) Why might eqemu.net disappear?

What happened... I don't know. I wish it wasn't a problem, but it seems it might be.

From Hogie's comments I guess that Lyenu was the person that registered the eqemu.net domain. If that is so then she can do what ever she wants with it. Like have it resolve to a different IP than it does now. Thus you would not get to the homepage or messageboards.

If you ever registered a domain name you would understand...

She has said many times she is going to quit. Everytime I removed her because I believed that was her wish, then she would throw a fit and want back. This time I wont give her access back because she said she was going to quit and that the project was dead.

The project is not dead.. it's just lost a hell've lot of devs. Especially like Image and Quagmire.

But I can see that if she said she was going to quit well.. she got what she wished for. :(

Alittle to much hope flying about. To many devs have left. The Emu project is hurt to bad to recover. I will say it was nice but I wouldnt stick around here and wait for anything new. With such a loss and a destroyed dev struture I dont see how anything will get done.

Hackersquest is your best bet now. Releases on normal rates and clean code.

Don't like it sense they aren't giving weekly updates anymore go cry. Don't expect fixes so fast when there are few devs left.. hell if you want weekly fixes start paying them then complain..

You know people if we keep arguing amongst ourselves it isnt going to get the project anywhere except further down the spiral. We should just try to forget about the flaming and the recent troubles and work toward getting the project rolling again. It will be better for everyone if we can do this, because I personally dont want to be left with just the crappy hackersquest emulator =P

I doubt the EQEmu project is going to be abandoned, but it obviously is going to be postponed for a while. Coders, get your keyboards ready, 'cause I want to see this project keep going.
