Servers I miss!
 

Jibbatwinkers Custom server! This was the best (and pretty much only) custom server ive played on, and instantly fell in love with. It had been up for quite a while but i dont remember the name, and havn't seen it :?



GuildWars!! RAWR! This was the best server pvp or not in my opinion. Bring it back! You will have me + 3 friends :oops:

I spent a great deal of time as well on SoD, P1999, and The Grand Creation, and they were all good, The Grand Creation being my obvious favorite though :). Very top notch. My favorites list starts with Guildwars , Jibbatwinker's , PEQ TGC, p1999, SoD , Thanks for reading and i hope to find new goodies :)

GuildWars was the best server EVER to be on emu.

Big ups to image, and devn00b, so happy to see those two ballas working together once again.

Zebuxoruk/Zeb Server :) Yeah this was easily the best server I've ever played on.

GuildWars for sure #1 but I am a bit biased
Kings and Bandits close 2nd but again im biased.
I enjoyed Krushers server when I wasnt on mine and Heliactal Was the shit back in the day.

Heh, s2k. I still have their code + database, updated to r782 googlecode. Wonder if it would be worth fixing up the mechanics to make it work again.

Would something like GuildWars suffice as a 'return'? Anyway I miss Pyrotek's server but that was more of our testing grounds when we first started interacting with each other. He hosted the LS even :D

What about World of Alkora? Anyone remember Khan? :p

If you were able to bring back the GuildWars version where you had the pvp points from placing guards inside cities, that would be epic. Ur last version of guildwars where you started in Bazaar and couldnt cast spells etc wasn't very good. I miss the old days of waiting at a spire for someone to port down from Nexus. Oh good. NOSTALGIA!.

Good old 5 Derangement waiting at a spire for blues to zone in.

The version where Derangement and Jihad were going off against eachother for city control was the best times imo.

So I guess what i'm trying to say is, the classic version of GuildWars where Nexus was a safezone, Bazaar had all the vendors, and you could port down to spires from Nexus, and guards were placable in cities to obtain PvP points.

I think we all agree this was the best of times.

What year was the first ever GuildWars server put up?

Was originally opened in like Feb-March 2003. You can find posts about it when we started getting the higher player-bases on servers due to the new netcode I put in.

8 years ago... I really need to move on. Hah

Well Kings & Bandits is not GuildWars although it contains some qualities which existed in GuildWars. The cities will be controlled by the king primarily but I wouldn't expect anyone to assume that role unless you are popular or extremely evil (either deception or sheer power). I think there will be lots to entertain though either through pvp or pve. Don't think that you *have* to get pvp points to excel in your gear to compete.

I can't wait to check it out :)
