Google Code Updates Page

I was checking out the Google Code page for projecteqemu and noticed the Updates page was missing. I found this: http://code.google.com/p/support/issues/detail?id=24324. I think this is a huge mistake and removes the most important page for viewing code activity. I may just have to leave a comment, but I doubt it will do any good.

What utter bullshit.

joligario 02-28-2012 06:27 AM

Yeah, google code got rid of a great page that I always used for all projects...

bad_captain 02-28-2012 09:40 AM

I thought his explaination was questionable as well. How hard is it to fix the page or change it so that it works better? Google has really been dropping the ball lately.

bad_captain 02-28-2012 09:50 AM

Well, it's not as nice, but you can at least see the updates here: http://code.google.com/feeds/p/proje...nchanges/basic

I always use this page to look at recent commits:

http://code.google.com/p/projecteqemu/source/list

I always use that page.

lerxst2112 02-28-2012 04:15 PM

That's the only page I use as well.

joligario 02-28-2012 04:26 PM

Yeah, that is my new alternative since the change. I definitely don't like the feeds page...

I completely forgot about this. Not quite as nice as the other page, but I guess it'll work.

LOL, I don't even think I know which page you guys are referring to about updates. I have always just looked at the source/list page. It is pretty handy, cause you can just click the little + next to the file name and instantly see a diff of what was changed in that file, or click diff to view the diff for the whole file at a time.

Was it a full diff of the change? I guess that would be nice to see it all at once without having to click for each file, but it isn't much extra work.

For a moment, I thought all our google SVN pages are gone, lol. =P

Clicking 'Expand All' is the same as clicking the + against each file and will show you a complete diff for the commit (apologies if you knew that already :) )

I think the page that Google removed was one that showed a list of all project updates which included new/updated issues and newly added downloads, as well as source code commits, whereas the page I linked is purely source code commits.

If you haven't already, please go star this issue on Google.

I have always used the list view.

http://code.google.com/p/projecteqemu/source/list

I did not even know the other one existed. I like the list view because it is easy to click on "diff" and see the changes.

joligario 03-26-2012 08:03 PM

So did the other version.
