FYI, zoning is a little slow, it hangs, but you eventually zone.

Edit: Nm, I fixed this bug :)

Logged into char screen fine, checked and created a character fine, went to enter world and it starts loading but stops before it finishes loading... and just crashes to server screen.

Edit' Ok, well, second attempt worked, i guess there's no bug :p
I'll edit if i see anything

Editx2. #race seems to send you into some wierd loop, view gets locked and i continuously am below the world, no matter what #goto i type.

This is my first time ever testing Everquest but I noticed some weird bug with the creatures. When attacking them and running away, they followed but everytime the creatures position was updated it 'jumped' to the air and dropped, like there were false height variable in the packet. The height seemed to be constant at all time (warping the creature to the same height everytime it took a step). This happened many times as I were playing.

thats not a bug, thats just because there is no pathing set up.

Ranged doesn't work anymore it seems.
Atleast not on Image's latest server. :confused:

I was keeling in crushbone (woohah!) and got stuck looting a corpse.. it gave error:

LootItem: Being Looted By != client

and I had to exit to get to stand up again. :P

do i really need to have PoP ?

I tried to log in not a few moments ago and it seems that i get stuck at the Name verification thinger.....it just sits there....nothing but the noises of my phantom charaacter swinging some phanton weapon =)...

And no =)..i didn't patch

My first attempt went smoothly. Logging in, no problem. Created a Hi Elf Enchanter. No problem.

Started in the right place with Shallow Breath and Minor Shielding - good
Also had Book of Discord.

No food, no water and instead of the note for the guildmaster I had a Courage Spell.
Decided to look around. Crashed on zoning.

That is all so far. Am going to try a different race/class and see what happens

Tried D-Elf Cleric. Same problem. Crashed on Zoning. Had a club this time.

Your suppose to patch lol, as for the zoning issue, im not sure whats wrong I havent had any issues, make sure if your using EQW you dont switch tasks while zoning, that causes crashing, paste your dbg.txt see what it says.

I have the zoning Problem too. I don't use EQW because evertime I try to log on with a Character EQ exits.

Nice server first, I too had the zone crashing but that isnt my problem, when you say we are supposed to patch did you mean patch to the lastest to date or patch to 10-21 or what?

Getting Disconnected
 

I log on fine, get through to server list, pick Image's Server, on screen with Newbie human warrior it switches to You have been disconnected screen.

I don't have PoP either and go linkdead and char select screen.

Edit: picked diffrent class and was able to get in.

I have PoP and when i tried to go to poknowledge. I get booted, I get kicked to The Arena zone or I get this error message that tells me to call EQlive.
Also
One time i LDed and i came back to the same items i had when i logged on, My items did not save and update

The Planes of Power I am almost sure is completely database driven -- as other zones appear to be. What I mean by this is, you have your safe zones, your zone entries and zone exits.

So in other words, since I have not seen a database that takes the Planes of Power expansion, you won't be able to go there, or at least, reliablly.

I've LDed many of times, and rarely would I keep the items I have. I've made some changes to my database, and many of times any more, I come back with the same items. Some times, more than I want/wish -- still vanish. With that said, it was all in the database I have here.

Here is a quote, that goes against what I said earlier -- I don't mean any harm with this though.

If it is a database issue, we will need a lot more team work with EQEmu to make the databases better, the code better, the whole thing much better -- with people fallen previously, some things have went with them, and we've taken some losses to great losses. Am I wrong? I would have loved to see the databases continue to grow with the releases of EQEmu.

If you have access to #save, I'd use that frequently, as it can save you a lot of time and trouble. If not, try to configure it, so it updates (saves) on trades, sales, purchases, kills, etc.. That seems to be rather fair.

Well my real problem is everytime I started attacking mobs in Sleepers and in Veeshans and Western Wastes I would start to lose lots of packets and a few times I would go link dead but it would take me right back to the char select screen and I could just log my character right back in. I was wondering if it might be my DSL or if thats just a bug with all the stuff thats going on in the zone right on my screen all at that moment thats making me lose packets and get kicked.

BTW I love EqEmu and Image's server is nice I love this community.

Everytime I get to the character select screen I get disconnected within 30 seconds, whether I try to make a new character or try to play one already made. Any suggestions?

I noticed a problem. Not with Image's Server, but with the Server List. It seems like if there are more than one page of them, you cant scroll down or up to the others.

Had the same problem with the wrong items at startup using a Hi Elf Enchanter (Courage spell instead of the note). Haven't tried zoning yet as I've just started using the Emu.

Is there a file that tells the login server what # of expentions you have installed? is there a way to change it? I have PoP and would like to be able to use it to the full extent. But I dont have a EQlive account anymore to add PoP too.

Just install it.

The Emulator should recognize that you have the files on your computer even if it doesn't say that you have all the expansions installed I think. You would prolly also need to patch it but if you patch past the version the Emu supports then your SoL.

Just install it and join an Emu Server and see if you can go to one of the zones with a character you dont want.

Everytime I try and enter world I crash back to the server selection screen. DOes anyone know how to help me get rid of this.

I can get to where I can pick my character but no farther than that. Post if you know what can fix that problem

what's the Image's Server's IP?

I was on images server with my wife and we went linkdead several times when trying to group together. Is this feature not supported?

Yes i look forward to playing on his server, Hope it comes back up soon.

I believe he said he has new machines, and hasn't gotten around to getting up the server. I hope he has it up soon too :p

I was on vacation this weekend and came back to see the world server had memory issues, and im having another problem right now updating the version. I will try to get it up when I can.

Use EQW, don't know if anybody said that yet ...
