I got some good news for you!...

If you want to start playing EQ again, and you did patch or.. u can't get it working... come join us in

irc.eqemu.net / #eqemu ... and ask me ( khuong ) how to get it working or how to fix it if you've patch.. thats right....

if you need help with irc.. here's some info

www.mirc.com <= get the irc client here.. (its the easiest to setup)

after you have it set up .. just type in the server address! and connect.. then type /join #eqemu or join the #eqemu channel! yep its that easy!

Is it to much work to go to irc for it?

Is it too much work to hit ctrl-v here?

It's much less work for you all to post it here then it is for everyone else to get it from IRC.

In fact, the original post giving instructions on how to get it from IRC probably took 3x the time it would have taken to just post the information.

Just my opinion.

Unfortunately I cannot access IRC from work anymore. At least on port 6667. Port 8080 works though. If Hogie would be kind enough to add that I would connect to IRC.

When I posted "Bait" it was a joke MOMOS, Follow what Khuong said, The main Goal of EQEMu is for you to have fun, I think it would be mute for him to offer his help and then ban you. Use your brains ppl. Maybe i need not joke. If someone that has Dev status offers you help and you need it, take it without asking why.

i can't win...i uninstalled EQ....then reinstalled it when i saw this post. I downloaded the EQfix but now when i patch like you said to do khuong, the new EQlive patch is like 100 and something megs big which is a pain to download on a 56k. What makes it even more frustrating is that I left it downloading last night, woke up this morning and it had stopped half way but EQ doesnt have a resume download you hafta do it all AGAIN!!

bigfootbob, do I know you? Don't you run the green man site? Maybe my bad *shrug* anyways, you shouldn't have uninstalled eq if you have 56k, because you have to patch everything after kunark, luclin patches, old eq patches, everything, it takes a long time even on cable

Can someone pleaaase tell me what to do?

I want to play EQEmu, so I tried to go to mIRC, but when i put /join #eqemu, no one was there, and nothing appeared, so what do i need to do?

first type in:
/server irc.eqemu.net

Then when it connects
/join #eqemu

or /list
to make sure your on the right network.

I've been having similar problems with the IRC channel..

I'm not sure if I'm having a DNS problem, however if I connect to irc.eqemu.net, I seem to actually be joining:

core.us.quazie.net

There is no #eqemu channel in /list.

If I join the channel there is noone there.

Can you guys give us the IP address you connect to? That might make a difference, assuming the DNS servers have that hostname hijacked.
