I hadnt play this game but it looks well (and excellnt graphics).

Who cares if SWG EVER has an EMU... I think that game SUX in it's present state. Was released FAR too soon and has zero content. Next 2 online games i am looking forward to the most are: EQII and City Of Heroes.

I was really looking forward to SWG, but after beta testing... I could plop down the dough for an unfinished product. I understand that all MMORPG games ship with bugs... but I didnt like anything about this game other than the graphics. I thought combat sucked (a major downer for a Star WARS game if you ask me) and most everything else stunk to me as well. Maybe later on it will be decent, but for me... right now... no way.

Dude asking the EQEmu Devs if they r going to make an Emulator for SWG is like me walking up to Eric Clapton and asking him if he's ever gonna do a cover of Slipknot's Wait and Bleed.

next mmorpg im waiting for are city of heroes WoW and horizons(if it ever comes out)

Might persuade me to buy it when it arrives in the UK.. looks like it might be worth playing anyway (bugs notwithstanding), from player comments I've read on the official boards it seems like it's much more fun for casual players than other MMORPGs (like EQ).

For anyone who's got the retail version, do you have to download any huge (several hundred MB) patches once you've installed it? I know that Planetside required a 500MB+ non-resumable patch download to get the retail version to work, which would be completely impossible for a 56K user.

My bro is playing SWG in UK on the US servers the servers dont seem to be that bad.
The graphics are amazing heh my bros got it on practically the lowest graphics and it looks **** brilliant :P.
Tho it is very buggy the expansion will rock :P think about it you'll be able to build ur on ships :P and land speeders heh

I have seen SWG, my neighbor plays it. It looks pretty cool but I guess(at the risk of being sacreligious) I dont really give a crap about the world of starwars. I love the first 3 movies, but after watching George lucas's new movies alienate starwars fans around the world with childish idiotic's, weak storylines, and characters that you could give a crap less if they live or die, the whole star wars thing left a bad taste in my mouth. I cant wait for eq2 to come out so we can get an emulator for that, But at the same time i might as well wish for a ferrari and Jennifer Aniston on my bed in a bikini... But anyhoot I got better things to look forward too, for instance Dragon Empires looking cool, Dungeon Siege 2 (if microsoft says those are in game shots they are smoking their toenails, or im a jackass or both...) Far cry looking coolm, fable for xbox on the way and......(drum roll please....)
HALF-LIFE2 baby!!!!!(and then ultimatly realistic counterstrike 2 that will jump of your screen and jackie chan kick you in the face.)

Nice to see someone else has broken free of the George Lucas brainwash. Jar Jar was bad enough in PM, but Lucas outright insulted his viewers with Jar Jar in AotC. :evil:

As for SWG, it could be the best game ever created, everyone on the planet could be playing it, every review could say it was the end all be all of online gaming :roll: ..... it wouldn't matter to me....

George Lucas will not steal another dollar from me.

I'll stop now before I go on a Lucas and Spielberg rant.
