More Error 1001 fun.
 

Like many others, I have been getting the dreaded "Error 1001" message. I've installed everything properly, I made sure to follow all instructions. I thought that the login servers might be down again. The curious thing is though, when I come to this sight to check the login servers the population numbers keep changing, indicating to me people are logging in and out without error. I just want to know what the problem might be.

Define EQ in your firewall, or just disable it for a quick test.

BlackICE and Norton, will allow eqgame to run however if you keep copying it into new directories ie (Copy of Everquest). The settings will not be hold for eqgame.exe...

Make sure that the XP firewall is disabled, and if your using it.. well go buy something better.
