Question for meth
Merth,
I have been trying to use your world building tool to create a decent databse for everyone to use, The problem I am running into atm is that if I try to import spawns from zs.dat file the are placed in the wrong locations of the grid. Seems to me that the map files I am useing aren not setup correct. I downloaded them from map toolbox. Is there a way to fix this or? I noticed in your ss's of the world builder they are in the correct location is why I am asking. |
If the spawn packet changed in the last patch, the parser will parse the packets incorrectly.

Thanks merth, just didnt want to keep beating my head over it. I will just wait for a fix if that is the problem

After looking at the source code history, it looks like only the x/y coords have changed in the packet. When you view spawns on a map, does it look like the x and y coords are switched up?
I tried to take the packet definition out of the code and into the config file, but unfortunately I had to keep the position fields in code. C# doesn't handle bitfield structs as well as C++ does. So this change will require a code change. You can do it yourself, or you can come into IRC and get it from me. The x/y coords need to be switched up in spawns.cs. |
Hmm will get it from you in irc, Yes the spawns looked switched. In irc atm but some what afk because I am at work, if I dont catch up with you before I leave work I will be in there later tonight. Btw thanks for help and takeing a look at the code.
Also if you want you can just email the file to me. cbotts@t6wireless.com |
