I crash for some reason...
 

Yesteday I set up eqemu for the first time and I can play like 10 seconds untill a window pops up and say my eq client crashed...now I choose my server, all loads and it returns me to account, options selection screen...

that happens to me sometimes i think this is happened because of the server host's connection to the internet maybe there connection is dial-up im not sure.

what are you running for a windows if you are running windows ex: win XP win 98

because that could also have an affect on your gameplay and how much memory does your computer have i know that i crashed alot when i had 256 mb of memory if none of this helped you at all sear for it on eqemu search http://www.everquestserver.com/forums/search.php
