Well what kind of server do you want? Legit; Just like EQlive. Semi-Legit: Can summon items and use #zone usually. Non-Legit: Can use most GM commands, IE #level #setskillall etc.

Kind of a vague question, theres some really good servers you just have to find out which kind you like best. Right now Fish-Wolf dimension is the most popular, its semi-legit.

Non-Legit server also give the ability to spawn mobs? I would love to be able to log onto a non-legit server then & try things out that I've never been able to do in normal EQ. 65 Maxed skills & AA, summons the UBER items then spawn a mob....

Any ideas?

i dont think there is any atm, since updating the eqemu
is still being done, and i think that the Emu-crew
will release a fix for a few probs soon, but then GuildWars
will come up, and that will be the best Full-Legit server, no doubt

Winters Roar is also a high quality server with custom content. It is currently down for conversion to the new 052 version. It's due up pretty soon though, I think. Go to #wr in irc and to the website at http://www.wintersroar.com if interested.

think i played that server for a few mins,
what rules does it follow? legit, semi or what? :S
any spec. commands and/or items?

WR is legit.

Every mob, item and quest is custom, as are some of the spells.

seems confusing for a player if the spell effect has changed
on a spell :S
like Minor Healing is a Dot for 1kdmg :P

Obviously you didnt download the updated spells_en.txt needed for WR.
