Slowest computer
 

Hey guys,
What is the slowest computer you would run a small server on?
(i am just looking for a server for me and aboue 3 or 4 of my friends).

i m running 8 zones (enough for 5 players) on a P3-600 under w2k, mysqld is on a P-200 under linux slackware. 4 friends came at home and we played 6 hours long without experimenting troubles coming from the relative weakness of the server. I think mysql could run on the P3-600 and we still wouldnt have troubles.
If that can help ...

edit : forgot to mention that the P3-600 has 392 Mo ram.

Was thinking og getting server(s) going. Could piece together dual P3 550 w/ 512 mb now, but wasn't sure if I should wait until I could get 3 machines total or not. would either run win2k(easy) or debian(comand line) with minilogin under wine. this would house sql, world, and zone. Most likely just single player until I get my world where I would like it to be for friends to play on.. Thoughts?

A 100mhz 486 will handle two without any problems

You would save a lots of ressources if you were running minilogin on the PC where everquest runs instead of having wine on your server :)
