I understand that eqemu is hosting a contest to see who can make the best logo. Can it be an animated .gif or made in flash (.swf)?

No animation of flash effects I think

Just a logo, like a simple, EQemu picture (or text or artwork). Don't animate it. That's too much for a simple logo.

so that means .jpg and .gif ;)
no animations, got it!
