Problem. Please help.

When I try to get onto Eqemu, using the shortcut that I made it comes up with "Error" "Failed to load graphics DLL"

My target is: "H:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme

And my start in is: "H:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest"

Any suggestions?

Vekro Crucio 01-31-2004 06:20 AM

I have direct x 9.0

farce 01-31-2004 06:24 AM

does running it normally work?

Vekro Crucio 01-31-2004 06:28 AM

Running regular Eq? Yes, it works normally.

I followed Merths guide.

When you download the eq emu, do you extract the files into somewhere? Or do you just leave them in the zip?

That second statment shows you didnt follow the play guide, you dont DL anything at all to play EQEmu.

I was told by a family member to download it. And then follow merths guide

follow those directions anything you downloaded isnt needed to play.

You CAN use EQW instead of making the shortcut, some people find EQW easier.

Try taking the quote marks away from this, some systems need them some dont. Another way to make sure it is set correctly is to:

Delete the shortcut.
Open windows explorer.
Find eqgame.exe.
Drag this to your desktop.
Right click on the new shortcut it makes.
In properties just add a space and then the word patchme.

This SHOULD work, but if not then try EQW like Matt suggested.
