If you are simply trying to play then you dont need any of that stuff, try looking in the tuturoials and how to's forum to find out how to just play... If you are setting up your own server, you also need to look at the same forum as it has a guide to setting up your own server... As for the error, try searching for that error on this board using the search feature... Im sure you will find you are not the first person have this error... If you have done everything in the guide, then if you still have problems, THEN come and post Im sure people will be happy to help you...It doesnt appear that you have read any kind of guide or tutorial, and this board is meant for support NOT for teaching you how to set everything up without you doing some work... Not flaming you, but you need to help us by helping yourself, by reading the guides..
BTW, DONT patch eqlive, you WILL NOT be able to play on EqEmu... Good luck and let us know, if you are still having this error and have done and read the guides... |
0.5.5-DR1 current supports live patch.

But you still havent given any information.. Are you just trying to play or are you trying to run a server? Post the contents of your eqhost.txt file.

Here eq host contents am just trying to play not make a server and am gettin that annoying error 1001 for some strange reason
[Registration Servers] { "eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5997" "eqlogin2.eqemulator.net:5997" "eqlogin3.eqemulator.net:5997" } [Login Servers] { "eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5997" "eqlogin2.eqemulator.net:5997" "eqlogin3.eqemulator.net:5997" } |
try this
samandhi has a great post, I went ahead and read it for you, and though i'm not quite sure everything you have in there is needed I read that you should at this time try:
[Registration Servers] { "eqlogin3.eqemulator.net:5997" } [Login Servers] { "eqlogin3.eqemulator.net:5997" } try that, and if it says that is down change the 3 to 1, and vice versa.. lets see if that works |
Try recreating your eqhost.txt file.....
|
yeah I didn't think about that, I know there are problems with invisible spaces sometimes, with the loginserver.ini files, it might happen with the eqhost file, just make a new .txt file named eqhost
and manually type the information in. |
