hi - could use some help please

Im completely new to EQEmu, i just stumbled on it a few hours ago by accident but im very interested.

Ive been reading for hours on all the tutorials and other various forum posts but theres some stuff I still dont understand and would appreciate some help with if its not too much trouble.


First things first, I dont have EQ installed anymore but I still have my RoK, Velious, Luclin and PoP CD's so I can install them and patch everything up and then follow the 'How to play EQEmu guide'.


But Do i actually have to download any software or additional files or just patch up and follow the EQemu guide?

Just patch up and follow the guide to changing your eqhost.txt file.... You will have to play on servers listed as version 0.5.5 DR1 for now, as the newest patches broke eqemu earlier versions.
