MoB Bugs?

I'm running the 0.5.5. binaries from sourceforge and have all the DB updates that I can find and have noticed a couple of little bugs involving MoBs.
  • When you engage a MoB from a distance (for example throw a shuriken at it), it will run the wrong way. It looks like it just runs straight north, warps closer to you, runs straight north, warps even closer to you, etc. until it warps right up next to you.
  • MoBs seem to have significantly longer melee range than players do.
  • When fighting, MoBs always face away from you instead of towards you.
Dunno if the last one is a problem with the MoBs or with the player location code (says the player is really farther forward than they are) but it's kinda annoying

Also, there are weird clipping problems when you're dealing with things that are just high enough that you can't walk up them. In Cabilis, it's virtually impossible to get out of the water because as soon as you get close to the edge, you get kicked backwards back into the water. The same applies for things that you should be able to jump up onto.

the newest source (and even the source from a few days ago) on http://cvs.biosprite.net/ fixes the mob direction facing issues you mention. I never noticed the mob attack distance being an issue.. but if it was it seems to be working in the latest version as well.

I don't know if anyone has any binaries availble for these though...

Ah, I thought the binaries were updated as the source was! My bad

That shouldn't be a problem. I can just get the source and recompile my own World.exe and Zone.exe then!

Also, the melee distance thing might not actually be a problem. I only really noticed it in the Plane of Disease when fighting those goo thingies. They could attack me when I was still too far away to attack them. I'll look into it more and see if I can't figure out what's going on. It may be that they're supposed to do that though as I've never fought 'em on Live (only level 35 there).
