Need help with 0.3.1
 

I get all the way to the character selection, select my character for my server, and the splash screen pops up, but doesn't load the zone! It takes me back to Server Selection screen. Please help, I want my server to work.

0.3.0 was up and running, am about to check if it still works fine with it, but here are all the logs from the 0.3.1 release:

Funny thing is that it was working like a few hours ago, and suddenly decided not to work anymore...
MySQL server is on another box as it was hoggin resources

but same setup worked fine with 0.3.0

all *.ini's are as they should be (nothing changed in there since 0.3.0) using default db from new release so its not a db issue.

I have no clue what you are talking about man, I am mostly server illiterate. All I need to know is how to make the server load the zones so it doesn't bump me back to server selection.

You dont ever use 192.* as the IP for ANYTHING. if your using a router, get rid of it. if your trying to use LAN, DONT.

You need to use localhost or 127.0.0.1 for everything when using minilogin..

FYI ShawnXXXX, it worked with 0.3.0 (the 192.168.x.x)
so don't say it doesn't :)

now if it changed with 0.3.1, then fair enough i'll try that.

Alright, i'll tell ya what... you help everyone get there emu working using 192.* because i get it way too much and never works :(


localhost/127.0.0.1 is the only setup iv seen actually work, and it works the best (99.9-100% of the time)

If only mysql is on another box, then all BUT db.ini can be 127.0.0.1

Also 3.1 WILL run on the 3.0 DB So it you should be able to just use your db.ini and loginserver.ini from 3.0 for comparison.

Be sure to check for typos in the config files . as , 0 as O spaces at the end of lines ect.

0.3.1 will not run on 0.3.0 DB because you will get d_melee_texture errors when you try to run the zones :)

True, but it runns, and I thought it was mentioned the emu should work in a backwards compatable mode...

Regardless, you can get my 3.1 compatable DB from here It has Drawde's 8.0 and Ariak's 9.0 data in it plus more zones spawned, and a few cleaned up. All the tweeks Ariak put into hers, aren't in there. But most of it is.
