Lan AND Internet server possible??

I have set up a LAN server with minilogin (not going through EQEMU servers, all done locally) on another comp and have successfully got everything up and running. I can connect, create chars, play, everything. What I would like to do is be able to say go to a friends house and connect from there to show him MY EQ world. The question is....can I make my minilogin to somehow detect internet AND lan traffic?? When I tried playing with the external IPs vs the internal IP which are there now, I get the 1017 when I try to connect from here.
Is this even possible?

Thanks in advance!

oh yes you should, go to http://www.whatsmyip.com/ and get your ip from there.

from how I understand it, Mini-login does not work with external IPs. So, unless you are willing to setup VPNs on your firewall for everyone that wants to play on your server, it ain't gonna work. But, with the right setings you can log into your own server through regular EQemu login servers.

Thanks for the speedy replies! I will try your advice and see what I can come up with. :)

Thanks again!
