I must be an idoit, 1017 AGAIN
Okay, here is what is going on.
Login Just Fine with minlogin, no problems there. When I run a server, I get 1017 on my connection. Using a Motorola SB5100 Cable Modem, did the Port scan, and all the ports I need are open, am also running a web, file, and ftp server from the same machine, so I know my ISP isn't blocking incoming traffic. Any ideas as to why I can't run the server??? Here is my files, and world.exe output when I try to login. Now that I look, I see the my play machine is using my home network ip 192.168.0.184, but I am logging in through eqemu, hmm, any ideas anyone??? I'm stumped, completely. BTW, my server is up and running right now, will some else see if they can login to it, it's World of Nesark Server...... |

I was just looking at this thread:
http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/vie...t=1017+friends Try replacing 24.210.82.102 in your loginserver.ini and boot5zones.bat with your DNS name dhcp024-210-082-102.columbus.rr.com Then add an entry into your c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\host file: 192.168.0.1 dhcp024-210-082-102.columbus.rr.com That appears to be what the guy in the above post had to do according to the last post in that thread I referred to. |
Nope, still get the same error......hmmmm, this is frustrating... :) Any other ideas? Anyone???
|
Nevermind, it did work, I just typed the wrong ip in my host file....thanx a lot for the help!!!
