3 newbie questions...
1st - none of the NPCs I talk to will talk back or offer quests (Merchants seem to work). Is this because all of the quests are handled serve side at Sony and so EQEmu cannot duplicate them?
2nd - when I fear a mob, they don't run...instead just standing there. Is this again because Sony servers provide pathing info to feared mobs telling them where to run too and without that they just get a "0" and remain motionless? 3rd - Is it a known issue to have items randomly drop when you zone only to have the re-appear a few zones later? I've tried reloading my database with the latest dumpeditems.sql but to no avail. Thanks for any info. MindMage |
1. You can use EQ Emus perl or qst formats for writing all the quests you feel like, but none are included in the releases so you have to write your own. Look for tutorials in the Quest forum.
2. Yeah you have the problem exactly, the server jsut doesn't know enough about the zone to really generate a path so fear spells have been changed to stun spells. 3. Yeah theres a bunch of other threads trying to figure this out too. |
thank you
I appreciate the info bud. Any chance that there is going to eventually be a "quest pack" that lets people download quests just like we do items?
