Merchants: How can I get them to resell items they buy?
 

I have searched for this info in the forums and have had no luck.. I havn't even seen anyone else post a similar thread. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with adding items to the item DB and setting them as not there until someone sells it to them.. I did notice the table in the db for 'merchants keep items' I set this to 1 but i wonder if this function is what I am looking for. (I'm wondering if this actually does anything .. prerhaps it makes em eat items that are handed to them.)
I am also wondring if maybe i just need to add a 'Merchant places items for resale' type key to the table.

Check the variables table in the database. There's an option there.
you're right. Merchant keeps items is what you want.

ok i set it to '1' and checked the merchants.. still doesn't show the item i sold it.. is there any other varible i need to set to go with that one maybe?

Did you restart your server after you changed that? You might need to.

yes i have rebooted. several times just to make sure.. That was part of why, :idea: i was wondering if maybe there was another variable i needed to set.. perhapt I need to make it for instance.

Has anyone else gotten their Merchants to resell items that they buy from players? if so would you be so kind as to point me in the right direction... and if this has already been addressed could you point me there please... :D
