need immediate help, cant create character

i can not create a character on any server, i have patched everything and changed the eqhost. I go through the creation of a character, but then the character doesnt show up on the character list.

It is because you patched that you cannot create a new character. I currently have the same problem. Edgar1898 said that it was an easy fix. However, it has to do with the coding or somesuch, that we won't be able to create characters untill the next release I assume.
