i think i've read thru the tutorial a dozen times but i still couldn't get emu to work....on the eq client where the account is created it keeps telling me that the lon activation key is wrong...i've checked all the files whether i had missed a line somewhere but everything seems to be alright apart from that darn key....any suggestions for solution?

Click on Profile on the message board and it will say Logon Server Activation Key you would use that key to create an account in game.

Are you trying to log into your own server or just play on an EQEMu Public Server?

im trying to play on some publiic emu server
i am aware of the login server activation key but whenever i want to submit the form eq client tells me that the key was incorrect

make sure your information is correct. Make sure you entered in the correct username, password, and E-MAIL. If you try to signup with a different one, then ur screwed. Also, perhaps you are already registered?

i did the way it is described in the tutorial...exchange the eqhost.txt info, add "patchme" to the targetfield of the shortcut tab of everquest.exe, get the forum account, check the profile and get the login activation key from there...then just start the "modified" .exe shortcut, go to create new account and fill in crap in all the fields apart from e-mail adress, activation key and account name/passw.

still, i keep getting an error msg that the activation key was invalid?

Um no actually, if you register here, you must follow my other guide. Due to their new register system, there is a new way to register between the forums and in-game... follow this new tutorial I just made...

I am having the same problem. Will not let me create an account with the activation key I was given.
