Got a question about compiling 5.7DR
I have compiled programs before, and use visual studios .net... I downloaded and compiled 5.7 DR , 2 i beleive, with no errors... The .dll file and executable came out fine... when i switched them with the old files, the mini login worked fine, however the world server wouldnt communicate with the mini login server, so my server wont show up when I login .... any help ?

Are you using an older version of minilogin?
|
Older version of MiniLogin?
I thought there was only one. |
Nope there are older versions...

I'm so screwed
I have this same problem. I couldn't help but patch the 18th because I installed EQ the night of the 17th and then had to endure 12hours of patching (slow connection, I know). I looked at the thread telling what files got patched on the 18th and used the files a friend sent me from the 17th to unpatch. I deleted the new stuff and replaced the old stuff from the patch. I did everything the thread on playing on your own server says and the World.exe still tells me "Wrong size on OP_CharacterCreate. Got: 144, Expected: 140" (aka when I try to make a new char and submit name for approval I just get sent back to the char select screen with no new char made.)
Could someone please tell me how to fix this error? |
You're using the wrong version of the source for EQEmu. YOu have to download the source for 5.7 DR3 and compile it yourself since there is no precompiled release version for it as of yet.
