problems with EQEmu
 

i just followed the How To post on the fourms for starting to play EQEmu. When I went to click on the eqgame.exe icon on my desktop i got the following error;

"This application has failed to start becasue d3d9.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

however i have restarted my puter with the same results. i followed the post exactly however the only thing was when i came to changing the DataRate.txt file. It wasn't there so i made it and typed in the 8.0 and saved it in my EQ directory. But I followed everything else. So what's the dealyo yo?

check your DX setup.. seem to remember that one when i didnt have one of the dx options turneed on

Normaly means you have to INSTALL DX9 =P if you have not already that will fix the prob

Click:
Start->Run

Type:
DXDiag

When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool screen shows up, verify that the last line in the system information tab says:

DirectX Version 9.0b

If it does say that and you are still having the problem, simply reinstall DirectX from the Micro$oft website:
DirectX Download Site

well that fixed the DirectX issue but now when i go to make my new station account when I enter my Account Ket (which is my Login Server Activation Key) it keeps saying it is invalid. But I activated my account obviously since I can log in here. what's going on now?!?

btw I appricate your guys' help.
