The instructions to just play on EQEmu are fairly simple and there are ample guides on the forum to just do that. It basically involves just registering on the forum, creating a copy of your ENTIRE EQ directory, editing your eqhosts.txt file, disabling the patch function and then activating your account.

But, IMPORTANT NOTICE, if you have patched on or after May 18, 2004, the EQEmu is broken.

As we all hope, this is a temporary situation.
