The Green Leaf Server

Hey all.

I just wanted to ask a few questions and see if i could get any answers from anyone who knew. To begin, the green leaf server is the main one that me and about 3 other friends of mine play one so I would like to find out more information about it seeing as there is no web site currently up. My first question is regarding AA's. Even though they do not seem completely necessary they would still be nice to have, so are there plans to implement them? Secondly, i have read the forums and it seems like Leathal is taking this server through alpha and beta stages and has plans to remove #si/ #finditem and such which is all fine and good; but, when this happens, will the people who have played before those stages be able to keep their gear and what exactly does putting the server through alpha and beta mean? Is the goal to become a full fledged legit server such as Winter's Roar? Well, thats it, so if anyone has any information about these things it would be greatly appreciated if you posted with it.

Thanks a bunch.

Yea everything will be implented eventually, there are still alot of bugs in Dr4 Servers and they are trying to work them out, due to that EQ live changed coding and stuff on a bunch of stuff that came out recently.

Right now, the revised plan is to continue running DR updates and keep TGL as a Semi-Legit Server.

I'm working on a project on the side that will be running the Custom Green Leaf when the time comes.

None of the servers have working AAs (well, except for Winter's Roar) because SoE changed the way AA data is sent to and from the client breaking them. There is currently some work being done to try and get them up and running again but they probably won't be working until after OoW comes out in late August/early September.

The reason Winter's Roar still has working AAs is because they don't have any of the "new" AA abilities or any expansions that give them running on their server. It's not kept up-to-date with Live servers though so you'll need a special patcher to play on it if you decide to.

I had a similar problem i would click on the server and click play nothing happened. Problem it was because of my firewall. Try going to control panel -> (rightclick whatever your network connection is) -> Properties -> Advanced Tab -> Settings -> Services Tab (if needed) -> Add

Fill in the following information

Description of the Service: EQEMU5.7DR4
Name or IP Address: eqemulator.net
External Port: 5995
Internal Port: 5999

If that doesnt work change it to this...

Description of the Service: EQEMU5.7DR4
Name or IP Address: eqlogin1.eqemulator.net
External Port: 5997
Internal Port: 5999

I dont remember which one i needed to play and which one i needed to run my server hehe. Anyways i'm not sure if that will help you i never waited around long enough to see if i got a timeout window.

Or just turn off the Windows XP Firewall like it should be.

Can do either but really id rather have a firewall up i get too much spyware withought it. You could always go buy one too but i'll use the free one and type in a couple things.
