Well... everytime I enter my password and log-in name, and then hit the 'log-in' button, it boots me back to my desktop. What's going on?

Your eqhost.txt is formatted wrong. Make sure it is exactly the same as what the tutorials say and no extra spaces at the ends of lines, then make it read only.
