Unable to make account

Deeper explanation: when I click on "new account" it gives me an error telling me I have the wrong version. What exactly do I do to remedy this?

Just use the key from your profile on your forum account as your key... though something tells me you are all messed up and did not properly edit your eqgame and eqhost files anyway...

Okay I made my account via the URL you gave me, but when I get into the game and press connect and fill in the values it says "error1002: incorrect version please run patch blah blah blah"

But I don't have "patch blah blah blah". Help?

I "fixed" the previous issue, now it's amatter of knowing what servers are up!!

Is there a link or is it guess work? ;P

If the server is on the server list and doesn't say down in red letters then its up. But since you patched you can only play on servers with version 5.7 DR6.

Where is the server list and what do I put into my "eqhost.txt"?

EDIT- and I didn't patch, I'm using the Dec 2001 client

Nevermind, I'm tired of dealing with it. If I want to play Everquest I'll buy it.
