Patching and EQEmu version
 

Hi. I am just new to EQEmu.

Seeing as how EQEmu runs on a certain version until it is updated, and if you download the latest patches without an appropriate version of EQEmu the program will not work, how can you download just what you need and not the latest patches if you join EQEmu and there is no recent update?

Like when I patch normal EQ, how do I stop it downloading stuff that will stop me from being able to use EQEmu?

You cant select files you want to download with eqlive patcher...
It always take the lastest version of their file, and when they are released they're often breaking eqemu...
You have to wait for a version of the emu that is working with eqlive.

So basically I keep EQ up-to-date until a new version of EQEmu is released and then stop updating?

How often do knew EQEmu version get released?
