Still Screwed?
 

Because Windows XP is stupid and gay, I have to reformat my computer if it shuts down improperly, so ergo I have to reinstall EQ and patch to live to play on live..I used to have them in two seperate folders, didn't patch for the EQEMu folder..but I had to reformat my computer a few days ago.

I thought I read something about some servers I will be able to play on since I patched to live, is there a way I can play on any emu server or am I still screwed?

You can play winters roar even if you patched. You may also get EQEmu working if youget the scorpious2k patcher. cant link tho, sorry./

Yeah, I recommend patching to live then downloading the scorpious2k patch, look in his profile for a link.

Try the various patchers like others have suggested. If that doesn't work then yes, you're screwed.

Ok cool, another question..are there any non or semi-legit servers around? at least one where I can use #summonitem? I tried WR and it's a good idea and all, but if i wanted to start from scratch i'd make a new character and not twink him on live =P

The only one i know of is saltyboogers.

And btw, your argument: "if i wanted to play legit i'd play on live" really gets old. Go pay and play on live then, i'm sure sony would love your $12 a month. Nuff said.

Bobby's World is also non-legit.

i do play on live, the only reason i play emu is so i can summon some god gear that i wont be seeing for the next month or so, i dont feel like starting fresh on a new server if i can do that on live

We always need more collectors who have live accounts to collect named mobs for our database. If you are interested, you can check out the howto section. )

can someone tell me what "Right click on the newly created icon and select "Properties" on the menu.

In the Properties window that pops up, find the Target field on the Shortcut tab.

At the end of the text in this field, add a space with the space bar and then type in the word patchme." means?

ill take a look into collecting..but in the mean time, does anyone know a server with at least #search and #summonitem? dont even need the former, but that's all im really looking for, is it too much to ask? =p

what more do i ask? back when i first started eqemu all the servers were non-legit..thats what i ask =P

people play them for a day then get bored with them.
