EQEMU in Delphi?
Would it make sense for this program to be written in Delphi? I was just considerng this, since Delphi would offer a ton of variance in the application, and easier coding compared to C++ (from what I've been looking at). Plus it would be easily a multi-platform app.
Just wondering. -Sharky Project Developer of, The Dead Dream |
its also compiable for linux or most *nix computers.
delphi so far i know cannot be compled for *nix. |
well it would probaly work but I doubt it would offer a lot of advantages. C++ has better performance, is more common and gives you more possibilities. Delphi has other advantages...

delphi code can be rebuilt for *nix in kylix(not sure how far reaching that is). i dont know about speed, but delphi isn't that much slower than c, depending on how you code and the quality of the components you build with.
delphi builds a lot quicker then c. i dont see much value in rewriting it all in delphi though, and having to maintain seperate code. but for admin tools, delphi is great. good db access and a lot of free tools/components are available. blah blah blah blah blah....blah. |
