Spawns and Logins.....?

Can anyone reference me to a guide or tool to manage auto spawning in just about every zone so that I dont have to manually spawn everything..

Boot5Zone only have 5 zones up. Is there a way to have more then 5 zones up and running.. Also, will each zone support more then 1 person without using another zone like:

Player_01 = The Overthere = 7995
Player_02 = The Overthere = 799?

What will Player_02 be.. Will it also be 7995?
Does Boot5Zone just ONLY load 5 zones at 1 time with as many clients as it can handle?

Like I said.. You dont have to explain everything just reference me to a guide or document I can read.. Im in class right now and dont have that much time.

The port on the Zone.exes only refer the port that that particular zone server is using to bounce information to the loginserver. Players who are in a zone do not have a port assigned to them. So yes, one zone will support multiple people at once.

Awesome... So, if you have 100 zones and only 99 ports loaded..
That means that only 99 zones can be up at the same time?

Heh..not sure i understand the question. Well, you can use any ports that you want for the zone.exes as long as they're not in use by other programs at the time that you have the zones running. Id reccomend using 7990 straight on up into the 8000's. But yes you can only have 1 server per each port that you have....If you're behind a router, can only have 1 zone.exe for each port you have forwarded.

The only reason to ever have 99 or 100 zones up at the same time is if all 99 players you had in your server tried to zone all at the exact same time... If you have 10 to 20 people playing I would recommend having only 10ish zones up (IF that many) Just experiment and see if anyone gets booted off because of lack of zones, I think you will find that you will NOT need tons of them... Unless you have more than 100 people on at the same time... :)

Think of zones as websites. If you assign each unique zone a port any player who goes to that zone will access that same port, just as if someone were to access your web page.. That web page has the port ID of 80 (typically), and yet everyone who visits it will be accessing it through that port... They are NOT assigned that port individually (the web surfer), it is the site that they access that is assigned that port so that their network or ISP (to make it simple) knows where to find it (again to make it simple).....
Hope this helps...

Good prespective to look at.. I want some traffic on my server so I can make some GM's to run it lol..

Just remember that no matter how many zones you put up and how much RAM you have to support it, you will be limited (bottlenecked) by your bandwidth possibly... Figure roughly 5K/s PER person.... If you have very good upload speeds then disreguard anything I say hehe.......................
